How to choose a cent account

Four checks before you deposit

01 · The right platform

Check the platform for the specific account. A broker offering MT5 does not necessarily offer its cent account on MT5.

02 · Contract and order size

Compare trade exposure in units of the underlying asset. For example, Markets4you lists 1,000 units per forex lot on Cent accounts and 100,000 on Classic accounts. The same lot number can represent a different position size.

03 · The full trading cost

Compare the spread, commission and swap for your chosen instrument. For an Expert Advisor, also check its volume settings and the rules for the account you plan to use.

04 · Eligibility and payments

Confirm that the broker accepts residents of your country, identify the entity serving your account and check available deposit and withdrawal methods. Payment minimums can differ from account minimums.

What is a forex cent account?

A live trading account that uses a cent-based unit of account. For example, a $10 deposit may appear as 1,000 USC. To compare actual trade exposure, also check contract size and minimum order volume.

Which brokers offer cent accounts on MT5?

What is the minimum deposit?

For accounts with a stated threshold: Weltrade Cent starts at $1, Born2Trade Nano at $5 and RoboForex ProCent at $10 or €10. xChief CENT and Markets4you list no fixed account minimum; payment method limits can still apply.

Can I test an Expert Advisor on a cent account?

Cent accounts are used to test strategies with smaller real-money positions. Before starting an EA, check automated trading permissions, the platform, instrument specifications and lot settings. Demo and live account results can differ.

Does a cent account protect my deposit?

You can reduce your position size, but you are still trading real money. Large positions, leverage and an unsuccessful strategy can lead to the loss of your entire deposit.
